Our founder, a language enthusiast who frequently worked with multiple Indian languages, was frustrated by the lack of user-friendly transliteration tools available online. Most existing tools were either limited in functionality, cluttered with ads, or not optimized for mobile devices.

In 2025, Aksharm was launched with a clear mission: to provide free, easy-to-use transliteration tools for as many languages as possible, with a focus on accuracy, simplicity, and accessibility.
